Gary Judson Henderson our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother journeyed through the veil from his battle with cancer on January 21, 2010 at his home in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on June 28, 1953 to Ned Judson and Cleopha Anderson Henderson in Panguitch, Utah. He attended Orderville High School graduating in 1972. He married Tamra Bundy, and they had three children together; LaTesa, Cameron and Dillon. They later divorced and he married his sweetheart Jillyn Sherratt (Backus) on January 3, 2001, Jillyn had three children; Jason, Bunny and Michael. Gary and Jillyn were later sealed on December 12, 2008 for time and all eternity in the Manti LDS Temple..

Gary held many different job titles. He was a logger on Kaibab Mountain and in the sawmill. He was a guide at the Grand Canyon North Rim and would take the tourists down on the mules. This was also a favorite spot for Gary and Jillyn, they enjoyed going there often. Gary worked in the coal mines and drove truck for many different companies. He fulfilled his dream of owning, and driving his own truck. He loved the great out doors hiking, camping, fishing, 4 wheeling, and working on and restoring old cars. He was good at fixing just about anything, and enjoyed doing work and fixing things for his dad-in-law, and brother-in-laws on the farm in Cedar Valley. Gary enjoyed his Elder’s and High Priests that he associated with in the wards he attended.

Gary is survived by his sweet wife Jillyn S. Henderson of Cedar City, UT. His children; LaTesa Lynn (Jimmy) Jenkins of Hurricane, UT., Cameron Judson (Melissa) Henderson of St. George, UT., Dillon Scott (Patricia) Henderson of Kane Beds, AZ., Bunny Lee (Eric) Mock of St. George, UT. and Michael Eugene (Cindee) Backus of Toquerville, UT. Along with 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His brothers and sister; Eugene "Hodder" (MarLee) Henderson, Mark (Tracy) Henderson and Martha Gayle (Len) Johnson.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, sister Noreen (at age 16 in 1965), son Jason Wesley Backus (at age 20 in 1996) and his father-in-law Garth W Sherratt who he truly respected and loved.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Equestrian Pointe Chapel located at 1650 West Center Street in Cedar City, UT. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2010, prior to services, also at the Church. Interment will be in the Cedar City cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
