"MOM"

Paula Christine Kinder, a best friend and wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer August 17, 2010 surrounded by her family.

Paula was born to Derrell "Derwood" Morgan and Kathryn Johanson August 27, 1947. She has one brother Mike Morgan, one stepbrother Jason Spencer and 2 stepsisters Nikki Butler (Rich) and Sammy Start (Eric).

She married Ed Kinder November 27, 1968 in Elko Nevada. They have 5 children who will lovingly remember her, Mindi "Toad" Smith (Richard); Mechelle "Shel" Kinder; Chris "Cupcake" Kinder (Julie); Zach "Rosebud" Kinder (Mikan); J.J. "Pork chop" Kinder.

Mom was a Certified Nursery Woman, a member of the Utah Orchid Society, the Utah Glass Guild and an Honorary Member of M&D Design Society. Mom could take nothing and make it into something beautiful. She could bring things together better than anyone no matter what it was it would always work out. Mom is our family’s glue. She loved working in her yard and spending time with her family camping or just sitting in the back yard visiting and watching the grandkids play.

Paula is survived by her Dad Derrell (Marilyn), Her husband Ed, her 5 children, 14 grandchildren, Herman Stubenboll, Miss Vicky and Chunky Monkey (Terry) and many other friends.

She is preceded in death by Grandma and Grandpa Jo, her mother Kathryn Morgan and her good friend Steve Lyngle.

A celebration of life will be held 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday August 28, 2010 at the LeJardin Rose Shop Chateau, 1910 East 10600 South Sandy, Utah. You may come with a heavy heart, but you will leave with a smile on your face as we remember the good times with Paula.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Huntsman Center and the MICU staff at the University hospital for their above and beyond efforts for Paula.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any cancer research foundation.
