Genevieve Irene Chatel Elison passed away in Milford, Utah on Monday night, August 30, 2010. She was born on July 6, 1912 in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Louis Alfred and Marie Severine Chatel. Genevieve married Albert A. Gingras and had 3 children together, Albert passed away later on and later in life she met and married Marvin Elison. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served a mission for her church in the South Carolina Mission. Genevieve worked in the medical field and loved life and everything about it, she could adapted to most anything. She loved animals, cooking, crocheting, she would always spend many hours taking care of other people, she liked to visit the nursing homes, she was a social person. She especially loved her family and friends.

Genevieve is survived by her children Albert (Bonnie) Gingras of Parker, AZ and Mary Campkin of Milford, UT, 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren, her brother Louis Chatel and her sister Loraine Vollride.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Albert Gingras and Marvin Elison and her son Paul Gingras, her daughter Pauline Gingras Champagne and her sister Lori Lu May.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 3^rd 2010 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary located at 209 South 100 West Milford, Utah. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 3^rd at 12:00 pm at the Milford City Cemetery all under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
